Lastname, Firstname. Title of Book. Place of Publication: Publisher, Year of Publication. Medium of Publication.

3.  Choose one of the reading strategies and write a well developed paragraph for your novel:

·    CONNECTION An aspect of the novel reminds you of something in                                  the world, of yourself personally, or to another book                                 that you have read.
·   PREDICTION  A logical guess at future events in the story.
·    INFERENCE     A logical guess at a character’s feelings or                                             motivation in the story.

Pelzer, David. A Child caled "It". Nebraska: Library of Congress,1993.

In the book, 'A child called It', David gets abused by his mother. One day he goes to school and the nurse sees his marks and the police gets involoved. Soon after his mother looses custody of him. I predict that his life will get better because his abuse will stop.

Haddix-Peterson, Margaret. Found. Simon Schuster Books for Young Kids. New York 2008. Print.

This novel reminds me of another book I read before called "The Lying Game" by Sara Shepard because in "Found" It is about two boys trying to find who their birth parents are, and other things about their adoption. In "The Lying Game" Two twin sisters find each other after being adopted and separated at birth and they try to find out more about their birth parents and adoption. "I need to know more than what my parents are telling me about my adoption." (Haddix 137).

Carter, Ally. Heist Society. New York: Scholastic Inc., 2010. Print.

Heist Society is about a teen girl named Kat who has decided to leave her life of crime as a thief and try to live a normal life. She cons her way into a boarding school only to be framed for a prank she did not do by a former friend named Hale. Because Kat no longer wants to be a thief, I can infer that something bad happened on a previous job to make her want to leave the “family business.” Hale picked her up when she got expelled from the school and told her that he had another job for only her to do. Kat says, “ ‘I don’t want a job.’ ‘You’ll want this one.’ ‘I’m out of the family business. Or haven’t you heard?’” (Carter 15). Hale then tells Kat that her father is in danger.

Hiaasen, Carl. Flush. Alfred A. Knopf: New York, 2005. Print.

This book is about a boy who's father gets himself into some trouble and has to go to jail. The father sunk a huge boat and is doing some time for it. The boys father says its important for him to be there right now. I think he's waiting for some type of buisness person to get money off of what he did to Dusty Mulemans boat. " Nobody thinks your a criminal dad.. Dust Muleman sure does.. That's because you sunk his boat." I think the boys father is going to get himself into to some deep trouble. I think he's in some type of buisness where he makes money of of damaging other peoples stuff. But we'll find out in the next chapter.

This book is about Jonah , Chip, Alex and Katherine. They all have to go to the fifteenth century and they have to try to fix the future. "Then it was over. He lay in darkness, gasping for air. Dimly he heard JB's voice say, "Welcome to the fifteenth century. Good luck". NUT he couldn't quite make sense of the words." I think they are going to go through good and bad events.
